John P. Morey received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from DeSales University in 1982. Offering over 25 years of experience, John has been involved in many levels of public accounting; as a member of an established public accounting firm, to an owner of his own firm.
John is considered an expert in areas of Brokers Dealers in Securities, Sales and Use Tax, Data Extraction and Analysis using Automated Command Language (ACL), Litigation Support, Business Valuations, and Forensic Accounting. He is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. John has also met the stringent education and training qualifications needed to earn his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation and is a member of the Association of Fraud Examiners (ACFE). As a CFE, John has the ability to examine data and records to detect and trace fraudulent transactions; interview suspects to obtain information and confessions; write investigation reports, advise clients as to their findings and testify at trial; be well-versed in the law as it relates to fraud and fraud investigations; and understand the underlying factors that motivate individuals to commit fraud. Additionally, having earned his Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation John is also a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). The prestigious CVA designation is evidence that John is able to provide an independent, knowledgeable, and credible determination of value without personal or emotional bias; all vital components in litigation support and financial valuations. Additionally, John is also Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). The CFF desination is granted to qaulified CPAs with considerable experience in financial forensics. John also has garnered the AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) designation. The ACE professional is specifically trained in Computer Forensics and Electronic Discovery. John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). John is certified as a public accountant in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
John also volunteers his time serving in the community as Treasurer for the Freemansburg Bethlehem Township Athletic Association.
